About our church and leadership: A word from Pastor Maurice and Co-Pastor Ann Franks

“St. Albans Pentecostal Church is a registered charity (charity number 1054359).

“The church was started in 1960 by Pastor Bennie, who left to perform other ministerial work in 1962 and appointed Pastor William Thomas as his replacement. Pastor Thomas faithfully served generations of Christians from this point in 1962 prior to his retirement in 2021 and is widely respected and loved in St Albans and beyond.

Pastor Maurice and Ann Franks first visited the church in March 2020 (2 weeks before the covid lockdown). They were appointed pastors of the church on 1 April 2021 after having led services at St. Albans Pentecostal since March 2020 online during the covid crisis. They have 35 years of experience in ministry, gained in the UK, USA, Germany and Portugal and spent 12 years as founders and Pastors of Luton Grace Fellowship in England. They also pastored 2 other churches.

“We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe in the unity of the One True and Living God who is eternal and co-exists in three persons – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (the trinity). We strongly believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the operations of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

“We believe that every individual can and should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have the opportunity to be part of a local, vibrant church. Our church is a vibrant church!

We’re involved in other local events including providing clothes and food for the homeless, charity barbecues, coffee mornings and we contribute to Macmillan Cancer Support. The church is part of the Churches Together in St Albans
